Subsidy Structure
Under the scheme, the Central Financial Assistance (CFA) is provided as follows:

| 60% subsidy for systems up to 2 kW capacity. | ?30,000 subsidy for a 1 kW system. |
| 40% subsidy for additional capacity between 2 kW and 3 kW. | ?60,000 subsidy for a 2 kW system. |
| The maximum capacity eligible for subsidy is 3 kW. | ?78,000 subsidy for a 3 kW system or higher. |
This subsidy structure ensures that households can significantly reduce the upfront cost of installing rooftop solar systems.

Eligibility Criteria

- Have a valid electricity connection.
- Not have availed of any other subsidy for solar panels.
Financing Options
Households can access collateral-free, low-interest loans for installing residential rooftop solar systems up to 3 kW capacity. The current interest rate is approximately 7%, subject to change based on the prevailing Repo Rate set by the Reserve Bank of India.
